Former President Invited to Attend European Coordination Conference for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People

Saharawi Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Angola and Namibia, Bah Deih Sheikh Mohamed, was received this week by Namibia’s  Founding President  Sam Nujoma, in Windhoek.

The Sahrawi Ambassador delivered an official invitation from the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, to the former president to take part in the European Coordination Conference for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People (EUCOCO) to be held November 18-19, in Barcelona, Spain.

The Sahrawi Ambassador informed the Nujoma on the latest developments related to the question of Western Sahara, in particular the dangerous Moroccan escalation in Elguerguerat south west of Western Sahara, which threatens the cease-fire agreement signed between Polisario Front and Morocco in 1991.

The former leader reaffirmed the solid historical ties between SWAPO and Polisario front and the position of Namibia in support of the legitimate struggle of Sahrawi people. (SPS)
