2019 Windhoek Spring Fiesta – An Unforgettable Experience Awaits
An all white affair that has become one of the most highly anticipated events on the Namibian social calendar, Doctatainment’s Windhoek Spring Fiesta ‘All White Edition’ is coming back for a seventh edition.
On Saturday, 5 October 2019, the award-winning event, powered by Malibu as their main sponsor will head to the Von Bach Dam, which is situated just outside Okahandja.
Headline artists to perform at the event are Big Ben and Top Cheri who will also share the stage with, Gazza, Lioness, Skrypt, Ethnix, KK, Tswazis, Timo Kevin and a host of the best DJ’s Namibia has to offer.
During an interview on 99FM’s ‘The Vibe’ segment, Doctatainment’s Jose Mathews and Peter Karon talked to Che about the upcoming event, what to expect this time around and how far preparations are.
Describing this year’s edition as “bigger and better”, the two stressed that with every year, the event grows bigger and that was one of the reasons for selecting Von Bach Dam as a venue.
“A lot of the questions that we were getting was, ‘you say it’s the Windhoek Spring Fiesta, why are you taking it to Okahandja or Von Bach Dam?’, but as a team we just decided, we’ve checked the venues around Windhoek and we’ve seen that nothing actually meets what we want to do for this edition,” said Karon.
The Von Bach Dam met all requirements for an event of this magnitude and it gives organisers ample opportunity to give event goers the best experience.
Accommodation will be availed to those who wish to spend the night after the event, with bungalows, luxury and group tents all up for grabs.
“We have three hospitality packages. These are the chalets or bungalows that you get for N$1300 per person sharing. You get the VIP camping sites which cost N$700 per person, and then you have the normal camping sites which go for N$400. Included in those packages are selected complimentary drinks and food as well as VIP access to the event,” said Karon.
Transportation services will also be available to and from the venue for party goers coming from Windhoek and Okahandja.
VIP ticket holders will also be treated to a special boat ride over the dam from their accommodation units to the venue.
“The Spring Fiesta is about the experience. It’s not an event that we are trying to compete with someone out there, it’s an experience we want to give you from the minute you walk into the venue,” said Karon who adds that the aim is to have everyone who attend to talk about the event even after a year.
Tickets to the event are for sale in advance at N$160 for general and N$500 for VIP and are available on webtickets.com.na or at Pick n Pay outlets.
