  • The Namibian correctional services has revealed that 3,129 offenders have been sentenced to community service since 2010. Out of this figure, 2,781 offenders successfully completed their sentencing conditions by December 2023, while 286 breached the conditions. This was revealed by the Commissioner General of the Namibian Correctional Service, Raphael Hamunyela.
  • Angola is stepping up preparedness measures to effectively respond to a potential outbreak of the cholera disease in the country. The health authorities are enhancing disease surveillance and other response activities in high-risk areas along the border with Zambia and Democratic Republic of the Congo.
