66 youth projects secured N$37.7 million funding under National Youth Development Fund

The ministry of finance in collaboration with the Development Finance Institutions has announced the second group of 66 successful applicants under the National Youth Development Fund with a total mount of N$37,7 million for youth-led projects across all regions.
According to the ministry, the funding will support the creation of 404 jobs in sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy, horticulture, sustainable tourism, waste management, agro-processing, green transport and value-added services.
The approved projects cover every region and include enterprises such as poultry production, livestock rearing, crop farming, biomass processing, aquaponics, innovative technology services. recycling operations and renewable energy installations.
The ministry further noted that the loan amounts range between N$88,000 and NS1 million. All assessments and approvals were completed through Agribank and the Environmental Investment Fund.
A new call for applications is now open to keep the fund active and accessible to young people.
“Applications will continue to be submitted through the Governors’ offices. The Ministry will keep announcing successful applicants from more than eleven thousand submissions received during the pilot phase,” the ministry noted.
Young people are encouraged to visit their Governors’ offices during the first week of December to confirm the status of their applications.
