You did it again didn’t you?!
You #kedecembered too hard, knowing very well that January is made up of 90 days.
You did exactly what you told yourself you were not going to do…over splurge. Now you’re broke, hungry and barely hanging on.
We’re at the halfway mark till pay day, here’s how you can survive through Januworry.
Get cheap but filling food
When looking for the cheapest foods, you will also want to consider the foods that will fill you up the most.

Disclaimer: Consider yourself vegetarian for the month. On the upside, you can tick ‘being healthy’ of your resolutions list. Look at you, doing a cleanse, a detox, a fast. Good For YOU!!! #denialisYourBestFriendRightNow
Save on Fuel
Stop idling. If you’re parked and waiting, turn the engine off.
Embrace the heat. Switch-off the aircon. Running the air conditioning can reduce a vehicle’s fuel economy by more than 25%. So roll your windows down, the fresh air will do you good.
Drive sensibly and Cruise at 60 km/h. Speeding, rapid acceleration, and hard braking are the quickest ways to waste Petrol. Petrol mileage typically decreases once your speed exceeds 60 km/h. You’re not part of the ‘Fast and Furious” Crew. Slow down. Stay in your lane (literally).
Save on Taxi money
Go to work and go straight home: Don’t drop by your bra’s house. If your bra wants to see you, he can come to you.
No visiting: Stay home. Everyone is broke. Where are you going?!
Give people some space, they already saw you in December (through social media) when you were living your best life. Let me say it louder for the people who like being unwelcomed guests…STAY HOME!
Re-use and Re-vamp
Don’t throw away that tea-bag after one use, it’s good enough for two/three more cups.
The Tomato sauce is not finished. Just add a little bit of water. Shake bottle. Turn upside down. When ready to use, pound the back of the bottle for the last remaining drops.
For Mayo: Add a little milk. Shake well. Turn upside down. Then right side up when ready to use.
Left-overs: revamp last night’s dinner into today’s breakfast/ lunch.
Don’t act too good for these tips, you need all the help you can get.
Survive! see you on the other side.
