Three words that describe you: tranquil , feminist, bookworm.
At birth, if you were able to give yourself a name, what name would it be and why?
I had the privilege of naming my newborn niece the name I’ve always wanted for myself; Rusuvero. It means Love in Otjiherero. Imagine being reminded of the gift you are to this world every time someone calls you.
What is your fondest childhood memory?
Christmas as a child was everything! The grownups always made sure the kids were having a great time. I’ve now become the grownup.
When do you feel most like yourself?
When I’m out in nature and when I’m praying/meditating. Nature has a way of stripping you of everything you feel like you need to be and just leaving you with your truest self.
What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
Pack up tomorrow and leave for Milan.
What do you do for growth?
Introspection, learning new skills, reading.
When was the last time you did something that challenged you and what was it?
I hosted a pre-Christmas and a Christmas dinner. Cooking for a big group of people is not easy, shout out to all the hostel cooks. It was a fulfilling experience. I like seeing the people I love enjoying themselves.
If Happiness was a currency, how rich (or poor) do you think you are?
I’d hate to quantify it. I will however say that I am somewhat content and I’m wishing and working towards being happier.
What would enough look like to you?
Good mental health, living my dreams and financial security for myself and my family.
Imagine yourself on your death bed, how would you like for your life to have looked like?
Full of love, color and beauty. I don’t know why but Josephine Baker comes to mind
