Pick n Pay Namibia reaches agreement with NAFAU
Pick n Pay Namibia, a subsidiary of the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group, has successfully concluded wage negotiations with the Namibia Food and Allied Workers Union (NAFAU). The newly established one-year substantive agreement, effective from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, reaffirms the company’s commitment to its employees and the Namibian community.
The agreement includes a basic salary increase for bargaining unit employees, who make up over 70% of Pick n Pay Namibia’s approximately 1,698-strong workforce. This initiative highlights the company’s dedication to fair and competitive compensation, ensuring the well-being and security of its staff. The retailer also announced the future termination of its franchise agreement with Pick n Pay (South Africa), a change set to take effect after July 2025.
