Windhoek municipal council implements tariff increases

The Municipal Council of Windhoek has announced an increase in municipal tariffs, effective from 1 October 2024. The tariff adjustments were approved on 14 June 2024 under Council Resolution number 114/06/2024, in line with Section 30(1)(u) of the Local Authorities Act, 1992 (Act No. 23 of 1992) as amended.

A 5% increase has been applied to the following services:

• Water
• Rates and Taxes
• Sewerage
• Waste Management
