Powering our Future: Geology Interns

The Ministry of Mines and Energy is committed to empowering Namibia’s youth through education and skills development, offering internship programs in collaboration with institutions of higher education, to equip young professionals with the practical experience needed to thrive in the workforce.
We were joined by 3 vibrant geology students from the University of Namibia who are part of the student internship program at the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy. These students have offered supporting roles to already ongoing projects at the Ministry’s different departments.
They were assigned tasks to ensure that they were fully exposed to real-life spatial problems, which helped them gain technical experience and develop decision making as well as solution finding skills in the workplace.
