NSFAF urges students to be patient as 2026 disbursements begin

By: Staff Writer

The Namibia Student Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) is urging beneficiaries to exercise patience as the disbursement of non-tuition fees for the 2026 academic year gets underway.

The Fund confirmed that payments, which began in April, will continue until October in line with its approved timetable.

However, students are advised that disbursements will be made progressively, meaning not all beneficiaries will receive their funds at the same time or at the start of the payment cycle.

According to NSFAF, the staggered payment process is due to ongoing invoicing and verification procedures between the Fund and tertiary institutions. Payments are strictly aligned with invoices submitted by institutions, which must first be processed and verified before funds are released.

The Fund reassures students that any outstanding payments will be made once all requirements have been met, and verifications are completed. It says it is working closely with institutions and other stakeholders to ensure that disbursements are carried out efficiently and accurately.
