African Conference For Human Computer Interaction 2018
“AfriCHI aims to widen Africans’ international participation in the practice and study of Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and Interaction Design, and to the advance HCI by increased awareness of designs, tools, inventions, Methods, theories and pedagogies of creating or using technology in Africa.”
This is the 2nd AfriCHI Conference. It will be hosted by Namibia University of Science and Technology, under the theme: Thriving Communities.
AfriCHI will be held from th 3rd to the 7th of December 2018, in Windhoek.
The public is encouraged to come check out a number of installations that showcase Human Computer Interaction. They rage from:
- Cyberbullet: An interactive Game for Stimulating Awareness on the Harm and Negative effects of the Internet.
- The Tale of the Tokoloshe: Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage Using Virtual Reality.
- Using Augmented Reality to enhance Printed Magazine Articles About Namibian Lodges.
