THE ARTS ASSOCIATION HERITAGE TRUST PRESENTS FRANS UUNONA THE YOUNG MAN’S HE[ART] EXHIBITION

Frans Uunona was born in 1990 in the small village of Oshikushahipya, near Oshakati in Namibia. At age four he visited a home filled with works of art which left a lasting impression on him,and from that moment on, the artist in him was born.
A talented draftsmen and graduate of the College of the Arts, Frans is one of Namibia’s promising and upcoming artists.
Partnered with his natural gift of drawing, Frans expresses his deepest emotions through visual imagery and sees art as his closest companion which has helped guide him through emotional confusion and moments of melancholy. It is in the cubist works of renowned artist, Pablo Picasso, that Frans Uunona finds solace and stimulus, amongst various other modernist artists.
GAME NIGHT: PICTIONARY

COMEDIAN CARL JOSHUA NCUBE AT THE LOFT

Zimbabwean Comedian Carl Joshua Ncube is back in Windhoek
A few years ago during the /Ae //Gams Festival, a Zimbabwean stand-up Comedian came to perform at the Warehouse Theatre with Free Your Mind and almost brought the house down. Now he is back in Namibia for one night only at The Loft.
Ncube is described by CNN as “the new face of Zimbabwean comedy” and by Comedy Central Africa as “probably the funniest comedian to come out of Zimbabwe”.
This maverick comedian, who is on a world tour, will be performing on the 27th of April at The Loft and you absolutely need to be there. Carl Joshua Ncube is currently on an EXILE tour around the world and is currently visiting NAMIBIA to tell his story about Zimbabwe to the world. Warehouse Theatre is really excited to have him perform his true, incisive, thought provoking and wonderfully African perspective of stand-up comedy.

Join Soul Kombo, a promising combination of voices and rhythms of jazz, neo-soul and Afro-fusion featuring Rahma the Bass, Ali Jonker, Nokuphila, Nasim and Tapz as they take the Acoustic Friday stage!
The Soul Kombo is an acoustic afro-jazz band formed collaboratively in Namibia with members from all over the globe. The music they create is heavily inspired by jazz with a lot of African flair and neo soul. The Soul Kombo style is rooted in making the audience part of a live jam session on stage.

“FLYING FISH” COLOUR RUN WINDHOEK

Namibia Colour Run is the country’s most FUN 5k Run. It involves participants of all ages being coloured from head to toe with colour powder while they print/jog or walk our scenic 5k route around Trustco United Grounds.
The most creative 5k comes to Namibia for the 1st time. The event has 5km Fun Run, Day Festival and Neon Party. Free entrance for under 5 years old.
