UBUNTU JAZZ WITH BONGANI

Singer, songwriter and performing artist Bongani was born and raised in the streets of Katutura. He started his musical career nine years ago where gospel was his main focus.

After a three year break Bongani got back to the music scene with a different type of genre which he calls Urban Neo-Soul Jazz and got to perform for the first time at the Warehouse Theatre during the popular event “Song Night”.

Join Bongani at the Boiler Room and tap into his world of Urban Neo-Soul Jazz, a genre he defines as Ubuntu Jazz, music that speaks to the soul as well as embraces the simplicities of life that we take for granted.

The last Song Night for 2017, aptly titled African Fest – End Of Year Bash Song Night, this event promises a jam-packed show filled with favourites such as Priscilla The Namibian Dessert Queen, Bradley Anthony The Falsetto King, Danielle Gilbert, Sean Kamati and many more who will jive up the stage.

With up tempo and soulful hits to rev up the audience – Song Night will make you click your fingers, move those hips and get your feet stomping!

Don’t miss out and dance the night away with your favourite Namibian singers. Dress smart.

 

NEDBANK SPRING FESTIVAL 2017

Date: Thursday, 31 August 2017 (ends 01 September 2017) at 18:00 – 21:00

Venue: Lawn in front of Eagles

Traditionally held on the 1st Saturday of every September to celebrate the arrival of Spring, with warmer weather and longer days the 2017 event, however, Nedbank and the supporting sponsors are going big!!

The event will span 3 days, starting with a tech seminar on Thursday evening.

Building on the festival theme, Friday night will offer a trail run and mtb ride, with live music and a food market at the finish.

Finally, Saturday will see runners, walkers, mountain bikers, dog lovers, Crossfitters, gymnasts and many other outdoor enthusiasts hitting the popular trails around the Avis dam.

Once participants are finished they can lounge in the sunshine, while eating great food and listening to live acoustic music by local artists.

A N$100000-00 lucky draw for all participants at 12h00 is the cherry on the top of the Spring cake!!
