THE ELDERS CALLED IT MEDICINE

The exhibition showcases a selection of alternative photographic prints (cyanotypes) depicting various medicinal plants of the Topnaar and Ju’/Hoansi people.
Apart from the artist’s own work, the exhibition will also feature works from community members, as it forms part of a larger project to increase awareness on the importance of preserving ethnomedicinal knowledge. The project was funded by the National Arts Council of Namibia.

The first Night Under the Stars 2018 kicks starts with Ghanaian-born Canadian singer-songwriter Kae Sun and two Namibian artists, Vaughn Ahrens and Ashwyn Mberi.
Kae Suns contemporary R&B, and Indie folk meets the multi-instrumentalist Vaughn Ahrens as well as Ashwyn Mberis unique voice.
We will hear tracks from their soloprogramms and they will also perfom together. They never shared the stage before, so join us at the Goethe-Institut Namibia for this special occasion and a night of fusion!

BIG BEN WELCOME 2018

Big Ben, hailed as the top live performing artist in Namibia, is returning to the Warehouse Theatre Windhoek for a concert to welcome music lovers to 2018.
The multi-award winning musician promises to perform all his hits from the beginning, such as “Moro Moro”, “Kozongoro” as well as new hits such as “Ekaku”. The new hit singles such as “Efundula” and “Numba Numba” will also feature.
