ROOTS & WINGS – THE EXHIBITION

Date: 11-25 November 2017 at 10:00 – 13:00

Venue: The Project Room, 32 Jenner Street

Roots & Wings will combine jewelry, ceramics, photography, sculpture, painting and print as well performance and poetry. The work of 29 artists will be exhibited, some well known artists in Namibia like David Amukoto, Nicky Marais, Juliart, Rika Nel, Barbara Boelke, Lukas Amakali, Mitchell Gatsi as well as newcomer’s like Elisia Nghidishange, Mathews Alfeus, Lara Diez, Tina Basson to name a few.

 

 

BEING HERE – A GROUP EXHIBITION AT START ART GALLERY

Date: Thursday, 09 November 2017 at 18:00 – 21:00

Venue: StArt @ The Wolfshack, Old Gruner Kranz Complex, Macadam Street

‘Being Here’ is a group exhibition showcasing the works of Fillipus Sheehama, Barbara Bӧhlke, Nashilongweshipwe Mushaandja, Lynette Diergaardt, Ismael Shivute and Elisia Nghidishange.

‘Being Here’ is made up of artworks which explore in their own way the complexities of creating and reflecting on identity.

 

 

UNAM VISUAL ARTS GRADUATE EXHIBITION 2017

Date: Sunday, 12 November – 5 December 2017 at 08:00

Venue: FNCC

The exhibition showcases work from third and fourth year diploma students graduating in the courses of Art for Advertising, Ceramics Studies, Creative Expression, Fashion Studies, Museum Studies and Textiles Studies.

The opening will take place at the National Art Gallery, and exhibition goers can continue to admire the works in the FNCC gallery.
