In this episode of Bravo Namibia we celebrate Maricci Van Tonder, a busy mom who uses creative outlets to educate and empower Namibian children.
Maricci is intentional about spending time on arts and crafts projects with her children. She does this through Elements 7 Studio which she owns with her husband,
She breaks down how creative expression empowers children and how it has enriched her children’s lives. For her, doing creative projects with her family has also allowed her to enjoy meaningful moments outside her busy schedule.
Her advice for fellow parents is to keep children away from screens. “Enroll them in art classes, and spend more time doing art projects with them,” she says. You won’t only enjoy it, you’ll make beautiful memories with your family and have sentimental and unique art pieces to display for visitors, she adds.
