Celebrating Multichoice Namibia’s 25th Anniversary with Nonnie van der Westhuizen
Well it was great to be on board with MultiChoice right from the start. We were able to serve our customers with products right from the start. The highlight, I would to think would be when we opened the Service Centre – a fully operational MultiChoice booth right in our store.
How has being a MultiChoice Retailer contributed to the growth of your business?
Well, having the Service Centre right in store, has now made it possible for customers who purchase their Explorer from us, to have it programmed immediately. They can have it turned on, activated, they simply need to go home and plug it in if they already have all the appliances. Customers can now come straight into Nictus to pay their accounts or if they have problems with their decoder or queries on their accounts for that matter. It’s very convenient for a customer who buys from us or comes to pay their account to have a coffee at our Bistro while they wait for their turn or wait for their decoder or explorer to be installed. That personal touch, the relaxed atmosphere instead of having to wait in a very long queue and get tired from waiting perhaps.
How has the self-service kiosk benefited the customer apart from the aspect of convenience?
Our customers have access to a trained MultiChoice employee giving them the best advice.
How has MultiChoice enriched the lives of your customers?
MultiChoice has contributed to everyone’s daily life. It’s a part of everyone’s daily life. It’s been rewarding to anyone that has joined on this journey, our customers, Nictus, and MultiChoice.
Well definitely. I think the convenience of being able to buy your television and your DStv Explora or Zappa decoder straight from us, it definitely has. We pride ourselves in our variety of products, so obviously this has definitely been a rewarding journey for us.
Has MultiChoice enriched your life?
Definitely. I think having raised children, we all know what cartoons did for our children when we were having weekends or school holidays. It was helpful raising the children. For myself, getting home at night and, having some personal time in front of my TV, to just relax. Obviously DStv is your friend there.
Have you received any feedback from customers regarding MultiChoice?
We’ve only had satisfied customers. We are very lucky to have the Service Centre in branch as it is convenient for our customers. It’s a great shopping experience and we have MultiChoice to thank for that and our customers are the ones that benefit from it the most.
