Colour Run comes to Namibia!

A rare fun sporting concept is set to hit Namibia on 29 April 2017 when the inaugural Namibia Colour Run gets underway at Trustco United Grounds in Windhoek.

The Namibia Colour Run is the country’s most fun 5k run!

This unique run involves participants of all abilities and ages being doused from head to toe with coloured powder while they sprint, jog or walk our scenic 5km route on around Trustco United Sports Field in Windhoek – more cities to follow.

The Rainbow Run is entirely focused on fun so there is no competitive atmosphere, no recorded times and no age restrictions, all that matters is that you enjoy yourself and finish covered in loads of colour! You can be an Olympic athlete or someone entering a run for the first time in your life, it really doesn’t matter at all. The real winner on the day is the person who has the most fun!

The event’s organisers are so excited about it and believe that the Namibians have embraced our concept beyond our expectations and we are certainly going to have the biggest running event that has ever been hosted in the country.

Registration will begin on 1 December on Webtickets Namibia’s website and at selected Pick n Pay stores. Early registration comes with free goodies including t shirts, headbands, happy tattoos etc. and limited to the first 1,000 entries.

The 5km Fun Run is followed by a Day Festival which is a family fun day. Activities will include team building, fitness session, paintball, corporate games, colour throws etc. After that the event is followed by a NeonGlowParty at night for adults only.
