#SharePositiveStories – Keep Side by Side going by sharing their story
The Side by Side Early Intervention Centre has changed the lives of over 150 families in informal settlements by supporting children with special needs.
Focusing on early childhood intervention and parent training, the centre run by Huipie van Wyk has created an environment where children with special needs get a sense of belonging. The centre has changed the lives of many parents, who expressed their gratitude and how they have managed to overcome the stigma against children living with disabilities.
Always there when it matters
Because One Africa TV’s #TodayOnOne is always there by sharing stories like Huipie’s, and because 99FM loves spreading positive stories like these, we are appealing to the public to share Huipie’s story and keep Side by Side going. Together with Neo Paints, we want to create awareness for the Hephata Care Centre and in so doing, get more people to know about the project and keep them going with financial contributions. #TodayOnOne and 99FM will also splash a dose of colour on the Care Centre with a 100-litre paint donation courtesy of Neo Paints.
