CRAN represents Namibia at ITU World Telecommunication Standardisation Assembly
The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) is representing Namibia at the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) World Telecommunication Standardisation Assembly (WTSA-24) in New Delhi, India, from 14 to 24 October 2024. This global event gathers policymakers, industry leaders, and ICT experts to shape international standards that promote innovation, industry growth, and trust in emerging technologies.

Organised every four years by the ITU, the United Nations agency for digital technologies, WTSA is the primary platform for deciding on the working methods for ITU-T for the next study period of setting standards that facilitate the growth of the global ICT sector. This year’s assembly, taking place in Asiafor the first time, will explore the latest advancements and define the strategic direction for ICT standards.
