Farm Windhoek Fitness presents the second Moonlight Fun Run of 2017.
The IJG Moonlight Fun Run is a unique event in Namibia – a fun evening running through the bush on the IJG Trails under the light of the full moon!
Perfect for Windhoek’s clear skies and mild winter nights, it is the creation of local trainers Jaco Van den Burg and Willem Van Greunen, the running partners behind Farm Windhoek Fitness.
“We wanted something to do in Windhoek that was fun, but a little different. We love encouraging people to be active and really believe in outdoor fitness, so wanted to appeal to people inside and outside the running community. The Moonlight Fun Run is ideal – night running is more technical but less intense cardio, so everyone can enjoy taking part.”
It was first held in 2016, and the last Run in June this year attracted more than 250 participants.
Run/walk 8km or 5km, and experience the trails as the almost-full moon rises over Windhoek.
The Run will start and finish at Farm Windhoek Fitness (at IJG Trails in Otjivero St, Kleine Kuppe).

After challenging yourself on the trails, the fun continues!
The lucky draws with some great prizes will start at approximately 20h30 – but you only win if you’re present. So warm yourself by the fire while enjoying delicious food and drinks from The Smokin’ Deli.

Collection of numbers will be on Thursday, 3 August 2017: 17h00 – 19h00 at Farm Windhoek Fitness. (If you are unable to collect or arrange for a friend to collect, please contact Jaco for alternative arrangements.)
Late entries can be done at the same time and will cost N$150.
Please note: No late entries will be accepted after 19h00 on 3 August.
Arrive at least 30 minutes before the starting time.
