ICAN Passport to the World – If They Can ICAN with Anna-Rosa Naanda

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Namibia invited 99FM’s Kirsty Watermeyer to meet some of their members. Namibians who have built their careers and lives around the field of accounting.

These Namibians are the shapers of industry, captains in their fields, who are growing and building business in Namibia.

One such Namibian whose journey to become an accountant is pure Namibian inspiration is that of Anna-Rosa Naanda, the youngest CA in the country. She completed her articles at Ernst & Young Namibia and is currently employed by the firm as an assistant manager in audit.

Here are some of Anna-Rosa’s pearls of wisdom from the interview.

‘…I’m more hyped up about being a CA as well, because it was a difficult journey and there were times when I thought I wasn’t going to get here.”

“…knowing that I can contribute to the economic growth of the country. You know as the world emerges and the markets evolve and grow, it’s becoming more important to contribute positively to the growth of Namibia.”

“I would advise them to be resilient, to work hard, to always look at the end goal and know that as much as you might fall here and there, it’s not where you fell but how you got up that matters.”

Listen to her journey and advice below.
