Inflation Drops to 3.2% in August

The annual inflation eased to 3.2% in August, compared to 4.4% in the same month last year and 3.5% in July.
The August figure is the lowest recorded so far in 2025. The main contributor to inflation was food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Simonis Storm economist Almandro Jansen said the slowdown reflects easing price pressures but cautioned that household budgets remain under strain.
