NamRA flags duplicate return issue, urges taxpayers to hold off submissions



The Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) has detected a duplicate return issue in its Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS), affecting a number of taxpayers. The anomaly was discovered on Monday, February 2, and technical teams are already working to resolve it.
NamRA spokesperson Steven Ndorokaze advised taxpayers not to submit any outstanding returns that may be duplicated while the issue is being addressed.
“Taxpayers will not be prevented from obtaining their tax good standing certificates or tax clearance certificates, provided their tax affairs are in order and compliant for the relevant periods,” Ndorokaze said.
The agency assured the public that resolving the duplication problem is a priority and that measures are in place to minimise disruption. NamRA continues to encourage taxpayers to verify their submissions and monitor official communications for updates.
