Namibia is set to commemorate the this year’s 34th Heroes’ Day at the Omuthiya Recreational Park in the Oshikoto region on the 26th of August, under the theme: “Honouring our Martyrs”, paying homage and reflect on the bravery of heroes and heroines of the liberation struggle which began on the 26th August 1966 at Omugulugwombashe and paved the way for a sovereign and independent Namibia.
