“Wired” consists of a family of meticulously handcrafted ‘cyborgs’ that respond to us with artificial intelligence. They have been created by Erik Schnack and Madryn Cosburn as a means to express their concerns about technology taking over humankind.
Interact with these sculptures as they move, light up and take photographs of you in real-time! These sculptures, postcards, prints and catalogues will be on sale at the exhibition.
This project is sponsored and supported by StArt Art Gallery, the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre and the National Arts Council. This exhibition runs until 4 May 2018. Visiting hours at the PC Centre are from 2PM – 5PM on weekdays.
SENZA
Date: Thursday, 26 April 2018 at 19:00 till late.
Venue: Warehouse Theatre
Musicians and travelers of the lusophony: from a crazy idea on a trip to southeast Asia, to concerts in New York, Beijing, Goa and Dili.
SENZA is a successful Portuguese band with a music style guided by the musical influences of the Portuguese-speaking countries: a sonority which they call lusophone-fusion.
It was during a three month trip to Southeast Asia that the musicians formed the group and in this way permanently associated it with remote landscapes. They quickly went from the creative outburst, that led them to write the first songs on the southern shores of Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand, to concerts all over the world.
The secret, they say, lies in the intensity they experience travelling and their dedication and passion for music.
Musicians and travelers, they record on their albums those passions, the places, the people and the experiences lived abroad.
