Pap, Boerewors and…

As Vogue’s March cover star, Tyla opens up about her meteoric rise to superstardom, and in the accompanying Now Serving video, in homage to her Johannesburg roots, she prepares a childhood favourite and a South African staple: pap, chutney, and boerewors, with a classic margarita on the side. (We’re not sure if the latter counts as a childhood staple, but it definitely makes for more relaxed cooking and a distraction from any kitchen chaos.)
Boerewors is what makes a house a home and should be a staple in every household. That begs the questions however; ‘What food would you add to complete the dish?’ I for one cannot sit and enjoy the dish without a nice cold Coca Cola to wash down all the flavours and spices.
Tyla has helped boerewors go international with her Vogue issue, the superstar’s reel on British Vogue’s Instagram account is currently their most viewed video to date! What are you waiting for? The boerewors won’t fry itself!
