Namibia Announces 30-Man Provisional Squad For World Cup Qualifiers


Namibia’s head coach Collin Benjamin has announced a trimmed down and competitive squad of players for the Brave Warriors Upcoming games.

The team has started preparation for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers, where Namibia will face Malawi and Equatorial Guinea.

The Warriors are set to take on Malawi on the 20th, followed by a crucial clash against Equatorial Guinea three days later. These matches are crucial for Namibia who aim to collect maximum points to boost their chances of securing a historic World Cup spot.

Namibia is in a good position to make history by qualifying for the World Cup for the first time.

They sit second in Group H with eight points from four games, winning two, drawing two, scoring six goals, and only conceding one. Tunisia is topping the group with 10 points, just two above Namibia.

Liberia holds the third place with seven points. Malawi is at position four with six points, Equatorial Guinea is at position five with three points, and Sao Tome and Principe is at the bottom with zero points.

The team that finishes at the top of the standings will automatically qualify for the world showpiece, which will be hosted by Mexico, Canada, and the United States of America from 11 June to 19 July 2026.
