Successful summer campaigns start here.
This summer the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) teamed up with 99FM and our sister company OneAfrica for a campaign called #ExperienceNamibia. We welcomed a few Namibian Travel Influencers, like Adriano Visagie, Sunflower Tuli and Ndapanda Haininga, to share some of their favourite spots around the country and not-to-be-missed experiences locals could have over the festive season.
Tuli loves Namibia’s outdoors. She said, “God does the most with our skies- it’s just artwork.” And Ndapanda spoke about the other-worldly sense that Deadvlei leaves you with. “It’s so ethereal,” she said. “It’s almost like being on a different planet.” Adriano focused his message on encouraging Namibians to travel safely wherever their journeys led them.
Collectively we challenged Namibians to go out and see some parts of the country they have never visited before with an opportunity to win a N$5000 weekend away at any of the Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR). With entries still rolling in until 31st January 2024, we’re excited to see who the winner will be.
NWR reported their lodges occupancy rate increased by 5.49% compared to 2022 figures. This is fantastic news for the industry and the Namibian Tourism Board’s efforts.
At the time of this article, the campaign reach stood at over 140k and 99FM is proud to have been a part of this successful campaign that impacts the experience of Namibians all over the country.
