Powering Our Future: PetroFund

The Petroleum Training & Education Fund (PetroFund) is a statutory body of the Ministry of Industries, Mines & Energy, established in 1993 to enhance capacity within Namibia’s Upstream Petroleum sector. 

It’s mandate includes building capacity through training, institutional development, scholarships & the promotion of science, engineering & technology. 

PetroFund is partly funded by oil exploration companies that have been granted exploration rights in Namibia, through agreements with the Ministry. 

To shed more light on this and other activities PetroFund undertakes, we were joined in studio by Shoki Kandjimi, who is the fund’s spokesperson.
