STEM Africa 2.0 Is Here And The Fist Phase Takes Off 13 June 2026!

STEM Africa 2.0 is the 2026 edition launched in Namibia on June 3, 2026, jointly hosted by Mindsinaction, ExxonMobil Foundation, and JA Africa, a partnership that already reached more than 10,000 young people.

The program aims to equip young Africans with critical skills in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and artificial intelligence (AI). It will target 4,000 additional students aged 14 to 17 across the continent.

CHANTE sat down with Mindsinaction STEAM Center CEO, Mr. Andreas Leonard alongside, STEAM Center Manager Mr. Petrus Amutenya, to share on the first phase of the programme that is scheduled to take place 13 June 20216 at the BeFree Center.Press PLAY:

They’re learning AI. They’re doing Kahoot quizzes. They’re competing against students from Nigeria, Angola, and Mozambique. They’re getting mentored by ExxonMobil engineers.

And if they win, they present at Africa Energy Week in Cape Town, where the world’s energy leaders are. Delta Secondary School won the last edition, will Namibia emerge victorious this year again? We sure hope so!
