The Namibian Versus Featherweight Champion

Veja Hinda has done the country proud by becoming the first Namibian Versus champion in a Featherweight bout against his South African Counterpart.

Mixed Martial arts is still a growing sport in Namibia with a small number of fighters showcasing their skills and abilities outside the borders, let alone collecting belts. Veja Hinda is solidifying himself as the ultimate Mixed Martial Artist in the country and one to watch on the continent with his exhilarating victories in the continental competitions.

The cool, calm and collected fighter secured the Versus Featherweight Championship, defeating South Africa’s Iviwe Mphathiswa by rear-naked choke in the third round. His kicks paid off midway into the third round where Mphatiswa was caught off guard and hit the canvas where Hinda is known to be dangerous.
