Max Planck Dissertation Writing‑up Fellowships 2027 — Germany

Finishing your PhD and need focused time to write? The Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology in Halle, Germany, is offering dissertation writing‑up fellowships for advanced doctoral researchers.

For the 2027 cycle, fellows can choose between two residency periods:

• Spring 2027: 1 March – 30 June
• Fall 2027: 1 September – 31 December

Each fellowship runs for up to four months.

Successful candidates receive a monthly living stipend (described as non‑taxable and free of social security obligations), plus access to seminars, feedback and a strong research community. Priority is given to PhDs in anthropology, and your topic must fit the Law & Anthropology Department’s research agenda.

Key requirements include:

• Being in the final stage of your PhD (writing‑up phase)
• Participating in department activities
• Submitting a working paper and presenting your research

ACU Stipend Scholarship 2026–2027 — Fully Funded Research Degrees in Australia

What if you want to start or continue a Research Master’s or PhD with strong financial support? The Australian Catholic University (ACU) Stipend Scholarship could be your route.

The scholarship is open to domestic and international students and includes:

• Annual stipend: AUD $34,315 (2026 value, indexed)
• Full tuition fee offset: around AUD $34,728 per year
• For international students: Overseas Student Health Cover and a relocation allowance of up to AUD $2,000

There are two application rounds each year. For 2026, Round 1 has closed, but Round 2 is still open:

• Deadline: 1 October 2026, 11:59 PM AEST
• Expected commencement: February (domestic) or July (international) the following year

Selection is competitive and merit‑based. You’ll need a clear research idea that aligns with ACU’s areas of expertise, strong academic records and referee reports.
