International tech company Yango, is proud to announce its contribution ‘’The Restoration Concert’’, a transformative event organized Project Never Walk Alone. This was aimed at promoting education and youth empowerment in Namibia. The Restoration Concert, which took place on November 25th , 2023, is a key initiative by Project Never Walk Alone. The event celebrated Namibia’s survival from a challenging 5-year period, fostering hope, unity, and togetherness.
Expressing gratitude to the NWA team and all sponsors, Yango’s Country Manager for Namibia, CJ Dumeni, emphasized the company’s commitment to education and youth empowerment. “In a world where education is a privilege, there are still countless children who lack the means to obtain it. Together, we can make a difference and provide these underprivileged children with an opportunity for a brighter future,” said Dumeni.
Project Never Walk Alone, founded in August 2021, focuses on providing shoes to barefooted children in Namibia. However, Yango’s involvement extends beyond footwear, aiming to support the broader goal of education and youth empowerment.
Twenty seven Members of Parliament attended which included Ministers, Deputies and other Directors. As well as the Deputy Minister of Sports, representatives from the Ministry of Education, Attorney General’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance and
Agriculture and also the Minister in the Presidency who represented the President. All proceeds from the ticket sales of the event are to be channeled towards assisting more children with educational essentials.
