Transforming lives through education funding
Over the past decade, the Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) has played a pivotal role in shaping the future of Namibia by investing heavily in the education of its youth.
The fund’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Kennedy Kandume, announced that through the fund, a staggering N$17.5 billion has been disbursed to support 176,310 students over the last ten years, highlighting the fund’s commitment and dedication to fostering educational opportunities and, consequently, national development.
NSFAF was established to provide financial assistance to students who, despite their academic potential, face financial barriers that hinder their access to tertiary education. Over the years, the fund has evolved to become a cornerstone of educational financing, alleviating the financial burdens associated with higher education, enabling many students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to pursue their academic goals.
