– The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has cancelled the Spectrum Licences awarded to UCOM Mobile Namibia (Pty) Ltd (formerly known as (MTN)), issued between November 2014 and April 2020. According to CRAN, the company failed to pay fees for the awarded spectrum licenses and failed to honour all payment arrangements entered into with the Authority. In total, the licensee owes the Authority just over N$19 million due to cumulative invoices.

– Inflation in Nigeria has risen to its highest rate in more than 27 years. On average, the price of goods has risen to just under 29% compared to a year ago. Analysts say higher fuel prices and a weaker currency have also contributed to the rise. – BBC
