Oshikoto regional governor, Sacky Kathindi, has urged stakeholders to unite and fight corruption in the country.
Kathindi made the remarks during the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) consultative meeting on the development of the Third National Anti-Corruption Strategy and Action Plan (2026–2030) and the National Ethics and Anti-Corruption Policy Framework at Omuthiya on Tuesday.
Kathindi noted corruption remains a major threat to socio-economic development and must be eradicated.
He added that the region is committed to playing a role in the national effort to fight corruption at all levels, and believes by working together, a culture of integrity and accountability can be created.
The ACC’s Advocate Erna van der Merwe said, they are engaging stakeholders across the country to strengthen transparency, accountability, ethical leadership, and integrity across the country.
Van der Merwe said consultations create a platform for collaboration, with stakeholders sharing recommendations, concerns, and perspectives on key governance and anti-corruption matters.
