The Latest on Windhoek’s Water Situation Explained
Windhoek has this year been in a water crisis, with the possibility of running out of water in the capital, looming. A Task force was mobilised and has been actioning the steps to avoid such a fate. MYD Earth spoke to a key member of this task force, water expert and the Strategic Executive for Infrastructure, Water and Technical Services at the City of Windhoek, Pierre van Rensburg, to find out what the situation is, and what the plan is going forward for Windhoek’s water. We also spoke about the Namibian coastline which also faces a water shortage and what the plans are to avoid a crisis.
