The Honorable Minister Alweendo, who hails from the Oshana Region, was the first Namibian Governor of the Bank of Namibia.
“It was a typical life, at the time, for most people who grew up in the villages. Also in terms of schooling, in those days it was not uncommon for you to walk 5 or 6 kilometres to go to school but when you look back some of those challenges, one can say, might have shaped to you to be who you are today.”
