The Youth Talking Climate Change
Development that considers the environment is the goal for a sustainable future. That future lies in the hands of the youth as the future custodians of our environment.
“It would be pretty unwise of any of us for any young people to side step the discussions on climate change. I want young people to do the research, to see what the impact is, and you’ll be struck. We are the generation that are in that position to do something about climate change. Fifty years from now might be too late.”
With this in mind, the Namibia Youth Coalition on Climate Change was founded. Youth acting on climate change mitigation and adaptation in Namibia.
“As I have grown up i have started to notice that rain patterns have changed dramatically. If I, for instance, go to the farm that I grew up on I see first hand the effect of climate change.”
