In this episode of the MYD Earth Show, we speak to Hilma Angula, the Community Liaison Officer at NACSO; Grants Advisor to the Green Grant Fund and the Advisor to Namibian Youth Coal on Climate Change.
“The aim is really to raise awareness around the Sustainability Development Goals. As I say them, a lot of young people don’t know what this is. That is a problem. That these internationally determined goals that the world is trying to move towards, even Namibia is trying to move towards, that as young people (and we are the future) do not know what this is.”
In this MYD Earth podcast we find out:
- The role Hilma plays in the communal conservancy programmes in Namibia
- What the Green Grant Fund is and how it can support youth in sustainability initiatives
- Some of the activities of the Namibian Youth Coal on Climate Change and how you can get involved
- Why the youth of Namibia need to inform themselves on matters relating to the environment and the global sustainable development goals, as the future custodians of the environment
