The MYD Show – Spend a Moment in My Reality with Tuhafeni George Dasilva Hishitelwa
Tuhafeni’s story is remarkable, born in the village into abject poverty, Tuhafeni had to rely on himself to provide for most of his childhood and schooling life.
“I went to Tsumeb, that’s where I attended Secondary School at Etosha Secondary School. When I went there it was a struggle, there was no one to offer me help. I remember selling bottles just to make means, I mean in Tsumeb people pay rent, it’s a big town and someone from the village, it’s not easy to settle in there.”
It meant that at a stage in his life, he was homeless and had to sleep at a service station.
“I used to sleep at the service station… for about a month or so, during winter. It is a very emotional and traumatising situation, if you happen to be put in that situation. When I look back now, I look at the street kids, I was in their shoes, it’s not an easy thing.”
But his determination paid off and today he is a successful businessman, an author and a motivational speaker. In this episode of the MYD Show, Tuhafeni shares his story of hope.
In this MYD show podcast we find out:
