Looking Back…

Q: How would you describe your 2017?

A: I would describe it as a year of relearning who i am and eventually coming home to my true self.

Q: What was something good that came out of 2017?

A: Learning that I am able to overcome and that I have an amazing group of people and energies around me.

Q: What challenged you in 2017 and how did you overcome this challenge?

A: The end of a the most significant romantic relationship I had challenged my ideas and beliefs on love, commitment and trust, but the pursuit of self love and self awareness brought me to realisation that no matter what you have to be the good things you want to see in the world. My advice would be to take the time to know who you are, what makes you tick and what it is you have to offer the world and then let that flag fly high.

Q: What was your favourite Art in 2017? Theatre, music, movie, artist or art collection…

A: I would say music, because being a musician I have continued to grow artistically and this year has been a good year for music in a number of genres. In a close second I would say photography and videography. I have been reminded by other creatives of the importance of visual representation. I strive to bring that out in my own art and more importantly i am looking in different areas for inspiration.

Q: What was your biggest health and wellness learning of 2017?

A: That my time in this body is limited and that good mental health is not to be taken for granted. So eat well, drink water, exercise and laugh and love the world we are in.

Q: What was your biggest personal development learning of 2017?

A: I am more open new experiences and somewhat less ruled by fear.

As for the Holidays…

Q: What is your favourite food in December?

A: For me, the festive season calls for local cuisine! A good ol smiley, matangara, running chicken and so on. Local and fresh is the way forward!

Q: What is your favourite Namibian destination?

A: Anywhere where I can get lost in nature. Gootberg Lodge in Damaraland is a personal favourite

Q: What book should we all be reading?

A: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

Q: Where do you find your inspiration?

A: Life! People, nature, social interactions and my personal experiences.

Looking Forward…

Q: What is your mantra for life?

A: Give it everything you have…and then some!

Q: What is your wish for the world for 2018?

A: That we look less to the leaders of the world for change and take a more personal and proactive approach to making this a better place to live. Be the change we ant to see!

Q: What is your wish for Namibia for 2018?

A: That each and every individual assumes responsibility in making the country better. Team work makes the dream work!

Q: What is your wellness goal for 2018?

A: To reach my physical potential and to be as centred as possible.
