Looking Back…

Q: How would you describe your 2017?

A: A year that tested my emotions and my resolve.

Q: What was something good that came out of 2017?

A: I feel more and more like myself! Unapologetic, respectfully me!

Q: What challenged you in 2017 and how did you overcome this challenge? 

A: Increased personal (family challenges), an inability to manage my distractions appropriately and sometimes giving up. What has fueled me during this time is an amazing support network of family, my tribe, morning pages oh glorious morning pages – writing out 3 A4 pages on a regular basis was a great support.

Q: What was your favourite Art in 2017? 

A: So proud of Neo’s pottery collection!

Q: What was your biggest health and wellness learning of 2017?

A: Self-care is the ultimate care, time is not found, time is made.

Q: What was your biggest personal development learning of 2017?

A: Allowing life to happen, enjoying every precious moment, and not taking anything too seriously.

As for the Holidays…

Q: What is your favourite food in December?

A: Classic Christmas food, we do the traditional turkey, gammon, leg of lamb, sides and trifle for dessert. But any food that I put my hands on qualifies, did I mention Gravadlax????

Q: What is your favourite Namibian destination?

A: Namib Grens.

Q: What book should we all be reading?

A: Wild by Cheryl Strayed

Q: Where do you find your inspiration?

A: Daily Readings, cooking, engaging with the little children in my life, they so love life they give me life!

Q: What is your mantra for life?

A: Do what you love, love what you do, not matter what comes first, the loving it or the doing it.

Q: What is your wish for the world for 2018?

A: A great connection to the value of humanity and appreciation for the unique contributions of all.

Q: What is your wish for Namibia for 2018?

A: That we learn the lessons from economic challenges and focus on empowering the entire nation to deal with money matters in a manner that has us all thrive.

Q: What is your wellness goal for 2018?

A: Regular, early morning brisk walks listening to audio books.
