Does plastic waste affect us?
To what extent does plastic waste affect us here in Namibia? With the world talking the vast effect of plastic trash on our environment, in this episode of the MYD Earth show we talk to Dr. Chris Brown, the CEO of the Namibia Chamber of Environment, to find out where Namibia stands on plastic.
“There is nowhere you can go, the oceans around the world, and not find plastics. They are on all the beaches, they are on the bottom of the sea, and you’ve got these huge floating islands, the sailors that go from continent to continent find plastics every kilometre. In fact, there is something in the order of five million to fifteen million pieces of plastic per square mile of sea, right across the world.”
Here Dr. Brown shares what can be done and why it should be done, not only for our environment but also for our health.
In this MYD Earth podcast we find out :
- What affect plastic waste has on our oceans
