Prince William & the Last Free Roaming Rhinos
In this episode of the MYD Earth Show, we speak to the CEO of the Save the Rhino Trust, Simson Uri-Khob about the importance of community assistance in preventing rhino poaching in Namibia as well as his recent excursion to show Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, the world last free roaming Rhinos, right in Namibia.
“I’m impressed also by how local communities, the Ministry of Environment and NGO’s are pulling together in Kunene to keep Rhino safe. It is a model that I hope others can follow both here in Namibia and across the continent.” ~ Prince William Duke of Cambridge
“We have had three hundred and ninety nine days without any poaching. This again due to the community’s collaboration with the conservation.” ~ Simson Uri-Khob
