The MYD Show – Woke with Michelle McLean-Bailey
In this episode of the MYD Show, Michelle McLean-Bailey joined us in studio.
Michelle, is most well known for being Miss Namibia and then being crowned Miss Universe in 1992. Since then she has become an International TV personality, Motivational Speaker, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist, as she aspires to be an agent of positive change in people’s lives around the world.
“I think the most powerful advice that I ever received, I would honestly say comes from my Mom and my Dad who said, If you can just be yourself entirely, be comfortable with who you are, there are going to be people who like you and people who don’t like you, you’re not going to please everybody. That was probably one of the most important foundations for me as a public figure because it’s really hard being up there, people scrutinising you, running you down or seeing you as this amazing person when you’re actually just a human being.”
In this episode, Michelle shares her wisdoms as well as a few tips on how to de-stress when you are juggling it all.
“Each and every one of us has the ability to see things from a positive perspective. There is so much hardship and negative things happening in the world, that I think it’s important that each of us consciously make an effort to see the things that we can be grateful for in our lives, try and help other people and be more compassionate.”
In this MYD show podcast we find out:
- Michelle’s advice for coping with stress and juggling the stresses of life
- Why tolerance and compassion are key to a thriving society
